For various reasons I want to provide text only links to YouTube vids from my site, BUT I'd like the vids to either open in their original small size in a blank, normal sized window (ie with large white borders), OR in a smaller window that is just large enough to fit around the video. I also don't want all of the extra YouTube bits and pieces to be seen, ie the ratings, user comments, etc. Can this be done? YouTube give instructions on how to embed videos which partly achieves what I want, but I don't want the video to open on the actual page where the text link is, plus embedding shows a static YouTube vid image which takes up a lot of space. Any ideas please? Thanks
Youtube don't let u open a embedded video on a new page although u can do one thing, just download dat video using a plugin of Firefox and den embed it in your new page.Simple!
Very simple, you just need to change the URL a bit http://www.youtube.com/v/VIDEO_ID For example, this URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RurfUw0dSE8 Becomes http://www.youtube.com/v/RurfUw0dSE8 Just set the size of the the new window - Matt
