Well, earlier I had 256Kbps broadband and Youtube videos used to stop for 5 secs and then play.. But now I have almost double speed 512 Kbps, even then they stop in middle for 5 sec or so? Do I need more RAM? I got 1 GB. Or which browser is best to play youtube videos or how to play them so that they don't stop?
it all depends on the ISP may be you have increased the bandwidth but have you ever emphasized on the time on which you play the video if you play the video in the traffic time you can get the problem of interrupted video if play the video in the night time you can see the difference in the video playing, try it once I think the problem will be resolved
For video streaming it all depends on your internet connections speed. Your computer hardware has nothing to do with it. Well maybe a little
watching youtube is like downloading the file to you local drive, and as you know downloading is affected by internet speed (bandwidth). Its download speed is highly dependent on your bandwidth during that time. check your bandwidth...
this 5 sec gap is not due to ram ,your internet connection speed is slow emphasize on your connection speed rather than ram 512 ram is enough for playing you tube videos and firefox mozilla is the best for playing youtube videos . thanks.
May be the load on the same bandwidth has increased! Streaming of videos depends on your internet's speed. Try watching the videos not in the peak hours or buffer them and then watch .. These are just vague ideas to tackle to this situation. If the problem persists, make sure you contact your service provider. In case of wireless connection, someone might be stealing your bandwidth!! Can be anything!!
Your bandwidth is 512 kbps, so your downloading speed is 64 KB/s, which is a little low. You can try to rent a better connection, or use a video accelerator software (such as Leawo Free Video Accelerator) to improve the performance of online video.
Well, but it was same when I had 256 Kbps connection. And even when I have now double speed, there is same problem.
The 5 sec is due to your low internet speed, a video is buffering that 5sec or we can say a video is loading for 5sec.To reduce these disturbance you must increase your internet speed.
Can't you see the above post? That it was buffering for 5 secs when I had 256Kbps and even now when I have 512 which is double it buffers for 5 secs.
Mine had the same issue...infact i was using 1Mbps wimax connection. Formatted and reinstalled OS and issue got fixed.
That's a problem mostly depends on the broadband you are using, it may be the downloading speed is not coming as the declared, coz I feel in various broadband connection, as I have used 3 to 4 broadband service provider's net, they predict always high but in real you always get less from the prediction. May be the high bandwidth is using at that time or your downloading speed is going down. Clear all the cookies and the temp files as well the temp internet files from your Pc, check the speed of pc as it is working properly and download a song from firefox browser, then it will show you in the downloading window the actual speed you are getting from the service provider. Firefox and Chrome both are the best browser to watch the your tube videos with more functionality lies there in my opinion.
Increase your broadband to 1 mbps and you will definetly see no struck while playing. Because i have before 512 kbps and it used to stop. But now i can play easily with no stop as i doubled to 1 mbps. So, better you upgrade to 1 mbps. It is best.
Bandwidth traffic may be slowing down data to your PC. With youtube, this is usally the case and not your PCs fault. Try other streaming media sites out to test.
Hi, I think browser, internet speed or system speed is not your problem. Do these step and let me know taht it works or not. 1 - Update your Flash Player from Adobe site. 2 - Improve virtual memory from system properties-performance tab. 3 - Always use Firefox and check their is no internet firewall is stopping youtube. Thanks
