By this a mean someone making a video, someone pays for their site/brand/etc. to be advertised in the video, whatever the advertisement is, maybe a 3 sec ad at the end, a url at the bottom the whole time, etc. What are your views on this? Have you been sponsored or been a sponsor? Have you seen this before? Would be interested in being apart of this either being sponsored or being a sponsor? Where do you see this going, will everyone been doing this in the future?? Personally I think it's a smart marketing technique as theres lots of great videos on youtube that have hundreds of thousands of views which the creator could be making some money off and a sponsor could get some great promotion from it?
I am sponsored by a company that pays me when my video gets views. They have a short 7 second ad the end of the videos.
I think it could be the new way in the near future that many companies will use to promote their brand. How much is it worth?
Ok so atm the poll results are 100% have been sponsored lol, maybe you wanna share a story? How much does something like this cost?
Yeah I think it's a good way and especially a smart way and you can target advertisements, for example if you sell flowers then gardening videos would be good for you or a video of a new game on youtube could be sponsored by a online clan or arcade site and so on. I think sites will start popping up soon that allow people to put their video up for sponsorship.
That could be good if done through a system where you won't have to negotiate with the publisher of the video, and Youtube/Google would have paid him/her, would save a lot of time as well, and Youtube could earn commisions out of it. I don't know if how many times watched include those views on other websites, but if not, they could also implement such feature, so that advertiser could make a better choice.
