"Best size" as in what? Youtube has a 1 gig or 10 minute limit on their videos. http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55743 Youtube partners can upload videos up to 1 hour and 45 minutes in length. Besides all of that, film the video in at least 640 X 480 and at least 30 frames per second. When saving the video after editing, save it with as high of a bitrate as possible. I try to save my videos with a 2 meg bitrate and wmv format.
Oops...I meant the dimentions. There's an optimal size that Youtube recommends and I know they changed it a few months back. I looked around on the website and couldn't find it. I know they'll resize it, but Id like to produce it at the right size. Thanks
It really depends on where on your page you'd like to put it, meaning your space confinements. Normally the size of a regular YouTube video is 425 width X 344 height... You can play with those dimensions on your website and shrink it further by adjusting those numbers. At least that's my experience with it...
Ooops again... I meant producing videos to place on the Youtube site. Is the 425x344 the new recommended size or the original? There was a post on a forum about it several months back. Thanks
I think we're talking about different things here. Alright, let me clarify this. The resolution of the video is what everyone else is talking about is recommended to be as big as you want up to 1280 x 720. What I thought you were asking about is the standard size that YouTube videos come out at. By size I meant the actual dimension on your website. That would be 425X344 pixels, which has nothing to do with the resolution format of your actual video.
Yup that sounds more familiar, missed it the first time. Mention of the website musta confused me (not very hard to do)
