Hi there, I want to embed a YouTube video but stop the link back to them. Do you use a transparent GIF overlayed or something? How do you do this?

    Any help really appreciated!

You can't. And I'm not sure it would be right either. It would be like hotlinking someone else's images without letting them know, or giving them credit for that.

I've seen it before!!! Maybe they passed the YouTube video through another flash movie or something to not allow link outs.

For the record, I am against such practices but I've been asked for this feature specifically for a client and so I had to ask.

    Thanks.

Gweb, what you probably saw, was a video downloaded from Youtube and hosted by the site's owner on his server. No link back in that case.
But here there are moral and legal implications too...I really wouldn't go there... ;)
