A YouTube video of a British mother being raped in her home has caused outrage in the UK and prompted calls for tougher internet laws. The 25-year-old mother went to police last month after learning that a video of her three-minute suffering had been viewed 600 times on the popular video-sharing website. The video was only removed from the site at the request of an alarmed user. According to the mother, three teenage boys raped her and then urinated on her after spiking her drink last November. In the video, the woman appears unconscious as she is repeatedly raped, while her two children can be heard crying in the background. "I was raped on film and you could hear my [two-year-old] daughter and four-year-old son crying," News.com.au quoted the mother, as saying. "Putting it on the Internet was an abomination… I cannot understand how any website could show such a thing,†she added. A YouTube Australia spokesperson said that site's rules prohibited content such as pornography and gratuitous violence from being uploaded. "Anyone in the world who sees content that they think is inappropriate can flag it and our staff then review it," the spokesperson said. "If the content breaks our terms, then we remove it. If the police ask us for information in accordance with legal process, we will cooperate,†the spokesperson added. The spokesperson further explained that YouTube had also been used by police to solve and prevent crimes. "YouTube is a community site used by millions of people in very positive ways. Sadly, as with any form of communication, there is a tiny minority of people who try to break the rules,†the spokesperson said.
that i fooking sick, if i could get my hands on the dirty imbreads, i would do a lot of damage to them
It’s not Youtube’s fault, the lady should actually be trying to get the police to take help of Youtube to nab the person who uploaded the video, which ought to be possible.
This is just sad I hope they find the ones who did it and make sure things like this never reach popular sites like youtube again.
Such a big site can't look after each and every video ... I personally think they should be responsible for any legal action .
when a company goes that big, responsibility and intengrity have to go big equal. thats just my 2 cents, but i get nervous wherever i see a big company run away wherever major issues come up. "uploader as to be responsible" YES it does BUT the company that host it, in final words, is the major responsible.
That is terrible. Imagine if that happened to you, a video of you being raped being viewed globally. It's pretty ignorant. YouTube should have a better way of accepting videos, perhaps an actual person views them before they are published. They have enough money to hire some nerd to sit and watch for bad videos.
Thats awful, but what can youtube do? When it was brought to their attention they removed it. Sickening as the rapists are teenagers in Britain, just like me.
Then your mate is as bad as the scumbag rapists mate. ffs over 600 views and noone said anything ??? wtf!! The people that viewed it should be locked up too. Sick fukcs
I think what she wanted was stop the whole world seeing her being raped, in front of her kids, by a bunch of teenage wanna be gangsta scumbag rapists bastards.
