YouTube is accounts for a lot of my site traffic and I thought I would share my techniques. If anyone can shoot me any ideas on what converts well via traffic from YouTube I would appreciate it. Firstly place the url of your site in the video descripton box and in annotation(s) on your video. Make sure the video title, description and tags all have matching keywords. Don't be shy when describing your video but don't over do it. Post a video response to a video like your own that has gone viral. Posting a video response usually generates 80 percent of my video traffic. Post your video url on social sites and any appropriate blogs. Submit your video url to SE's. Leave comments on viral videos and mention your video. I presently have two videos on YouTube that are generating a lot of traffic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M40exvQPjw8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogT1M4V0EDw Both of these videos are linked to videos that I posted a video response to. I launched these videos around a week and a half ago and one has 25,000 views and the other 12,500. YouTube has enabled me the option to begin revenue sharing on both videos however, I don't own the video content and they are very strict regarding their partner program. Again if anyone can suggest a good affiliate ad that converts YouTube traffic well, please let me know. I run a blog (http://youtubeinfotools.blogspot.com) that goes into much more detail on YouTube strategies. Hope this helps and hit me up if you have any questions.
The best way for YouTube traffic to work is not only to add in a link for the description, but also adding text in the video to show a link to your site. This is technically direct traffic as people will either enter in the URL or type keywords into Google to find it. YouTube can bring in a vast amount of traffic through videos, you just need to know how to market
"This video removed for terms of use violation". What happened dude? What is it you are trying to sell?
I get a reasonable amount of traffic from youtube. All i do is add the one link in the description. I add it first so that viewers don't have to click "more info" to see the link.
yes, post some quality videos and then give links to your site in the desrciption and enjoy some quality traffic.
MTV copyright protection - it's funny - 5 minutes after I posted my video in here (upon request), youtube yanked my video. The video was a clip from MTV's Jersey Shore of "Snookie" getting punched at a bar.
The absolutely best way is becoming a youtube partner but that is hard since you have to have lots of good quality unique videos.
