I was wondering what makes Youtube videos appear higher in the search results. Is it views, ratings, comments? Anybody looked into how the Youtube search engine works?
Its mix... They do take into account the amount of time people spend watching it. Otherwise it would be easy to inflate views with paid traffic
There are a number of factors. Regardless don't neglect the basics, proper tags, category, etc. Views and ratings matter, and I've heard viewing time does.
Lately videos have been showing up on regional google searches. For example, Google this term: 2009 pontiac G5 tampa You'll see a couple of videos come up. Unfortunately, many people don't click the vids..I know that from our insight stats. Most of the views come from related videos, so the tags are important. It's also wise to select the right screen shot (you'll have 3 choices)
Yeah I noticed there very mixed. Sometimes when I create new videos they become first result or in the top 5, other times not to be found.
I think it's mix you also start the seo also.users also like your video.I mean video popularity and users comment's
