Has anyone here heard of the YouTube Partnership Program? I was watching CNN the other day and some guy said that he earned a six-figure income through this program.

I've heard of it. It's actually a nice program if your good at media and if you can create your own original videos that you own copyright to. Here's the link: http://uk.youtube.com/partners

I actually found the link! And "no", you don't have to be somebody famous. I believe your videos need to be a certain quality, and need to attract a lot of visitors. I don't think you can use your videos to promote your website. The way you earn money is through "revenue sharing". So basically this program is an alternative to having your own website with videos on it and Adsense. I would bet that the CTR is better than hosting your own Adsense ads.

Create really catchy viral videos that people will want to post in their blogs or on their profiles. A lot of the views that a video gets don't necessarily happen on YouTube.com.

If you know how to make professional-quality "viral" videos then you should. If you're an amateur video maker then this probably isn't for you.
