Youtube Marketing

Hey guys,

For those of you that do youtube marketing, are you allowed to put your website in the description? Some people have told me you can whereas some others have told me that it will get you banned?

I have already watermarked my url onto the videos i plan to upload but i wanted to put my url in the description (so the users could click).

I am planning on split testing if they allow linking, one with a landing review page of the product and one a straight redirect to the product. Do you think youtube will ban my account for any of these?

I'm not sure if it's allowed or not, but I have several videos that have been up for over a year with urls in the description.

 

I have seen lots with links in the description, venrooy what was on the website you had in the description? was it like blatantly promoting a product or was it a related site to the video?

 

My account banned al the time, afther 3 days or something..
I upload very populair videos like 50.000 real vieuws in 3 days..with a affilate link then you get banned
Bud no problem, you can make 1000s of accounts

I do a lot of youtube marketing, I always put my URL in description and have only ever been banned because I use software to fake ratings and comments. If it gets too popular and is reviewed then they see its fake, otherwise they're fine. Never heard of being banned for URLs though, I mean they turn them into live links so it must be alright?

 

my vids all have URL's in the description. annotations with URLs also.

not had one problem.
