Youtube marketing question?

OK Ive been wondering how youtube marketing works. Do people just get a youtube downloader and download videos that are already on youtube and then just upload them onto their profile where they put their link in the description?

These days sometimes it's hard to marketing your videos in YouTube because of copyright infringement. Be careful with your method because I think in the future copyright problems will hit many people.

Nope , they have that "post this to your site" or embed they call it.......

 

You can do several things to promote the video. Vote-pump, comment spam your own vid, and favorite your vid. You will need many YouTube accounts for this but it will get you top rated, top favorited and most discussed honors. There are some darker methods as well.

Other methods of youtube marketing...Say I wanted to promote a search engine and needed to drive more traffic to it.

 

Ok, so you want to promote a new search engine. You might consider making a video about your search engine, and discuss it's features and benefits. At the very least this is something you should do. Then you might try tagging your video with related terms like google, yahoo, msn, etc. Find the exact words that people are searching for when they are looking for information about search engines, and tag your video like that.

THEN, go find videos related to yours and add yourself some friends. Go comment on other videos, so when people click on your name they will go to your profile page. Make a good profile page explaining what you're about.

I download other people's videos then upload them after editing my url into the video.

Easy way to get a continuous stream of exposure, but it usually doesn't get huge exposure unless you game the system with fake accounts so that you can get enough comments and views to make the front page.

 

I will reveal the dark methods to 3 people max, if you give your word not to spread the methods.

I love marketting on Youtube, as for commenting and voting on own videos "MeH", those honors don't mean a lot, who searches for a video with most votes, comments, favorites etc. The exposure is "Most Plays" and that's not that hard either - black hat for this though results in a ban 90% of the time.

If you rip another video you're pretty much copying 100 other people who do the same thing, try to do something funny with the clip, add several clips together, add pictures, the Youtubers know what's popular and will bag the crap out of you if you're ripping same vids and adding them to your account.

Also if your sites a search engine, image upload, ebook or what ever, you don't need a boring tutorial of how to navigate your site and perform the basic functions, how freaking boring and how many are truly interested in watching ?

For example yesterday I had to make a water for fuel replacement video for a eBook type site, I just made a funny video with cars crashing with water involved - easy as that, relates to site, with branding through out.
