Hello folks, I was wondering if any of you used youtube as his primary money making machine? Yesterday a very nice idea come to me that I could automate video creating and uploading process to almost no work except captchas. but i am curious if any of you tried youtube marketing before? do you know some resources about it? Could post some tips? anyone broke the 1000$+ a day?
I've tried marketing in the youtube description. All I can say is- it doesn't work. Lots of work for very little traffic and I am saying that from an account that has well over 1,000,000 video views. You really have to know how to get people to click to make anything.
I am about to start video marketing, not only on Youtube, but others as well. Any advice? I will let you know how it goes.
i tried it too with a video that had 500k views in just a couple of days. It did not work at all and I stopped working at it. promoting your website trough video marketing like Youtube is good, but expect no-clicking visitors
lol guys, youtube marketing doesn’t works? It does work! I know people who make a living from it… Yesterday I made an unique video, uploaded it to youtube and some other sites and I can see today an average of 5% traffic from views. It means if you have 100k views you get around 5000 high quality traffic. You have to be smart if you want people to visit your website after seeing your video. I figured out a nice way of creating video from presentation. If anyone interested just pm me, I could make some nice videos for you (not for free of course lol). @Mactep I have some great tips on youtube marketing, if you interested pm me, Im also curious about your method.
I don't think you can make to much marketing on YouTube, but you can get some good marketing because of the tendency of YouTube videos to go viral. I just posted about it on my blog: Promoting Yourself on YouTube Thanks, Scott
Youtube is a good place for marketing. You just need to know what the people that sees the clip want. My average on youtube is for every 1000 views i get 10 quality visits to my site, thats 1% of all views. That seems to be very little. But if you use 5 account and lets say you have 20 videos per account. For every video you will easy get 500 visits aday if you are marketing some intressting stuff. Thats 500x20x5=50000 views aday. 1% of 50000 views = 500 visits aday to your site.
Post your youtube links if you. I'm curious what type of videos you're uploading and if you're uploading the same video on several different accounts? Wouldn't that get your video or account removed?
Hmm yea. Just plain marketing in the description doesn't work. You have to be creative. I've been trying new techniques and it IS working! First off post videos that are relevant to your content. If you have a finance blog, post finance videos. post your link inside the video just in case someone tries to steal it and post on other sites. Include a link in your description and last but not least the more videos you upload the better. If you need content just do what the other guy said upload slideshows/presentations. For some of my clips all I did was copy/paste content from some other website, record myself reading it, slap some pictures on it and bam you've got a good video. The good thing about youtube is that it will bring residual visitors to your site. I made some youtube videos early in my blogging career, posted them to my blog and believe it or not that blog is still getting traffic even though I haven't updated it in years. The videos I had were lectures that I recorded from in college lol oh yea and bring your video camera everywhere you never know where you'll be at and you will be able to capture some action.
I haven't done anything on YouTube, yet, but am preparing to start. Just like anything else, the content has to be good. When you create a video, stop to ask yourself, "Is this video something that I would be glad that I spent the time to watch it?" If it isn't, don't post it, cause nobody else will think it's good, either. Videos can be part of a comprehensive marketing plan. Hey, it's part of Web 2.0! It's gotta be good.
I tried my hand at the Youtube scene. You have to be general enough to capture enough people to look at your video. Then after capturing them you have to be good enough for them to care about your site if they are going to take a break from laughing their way to other videos. YouTube is to kill time watching videos...sure, some get a little traffic from it but for the time I put into it I could have been doing something else. I chalk Youtube up to one of the last SEO or marketing ideas I am interested in. I believe for some it works, but I believe for most it don't.
Getting a good video up alongwith your URL & keep replying to the comments can generate some good clicks!! IF the video is popular or catchy enough, you surely can get some unique hits on your website, with the perception of having same or better content there!
I reuploaded some videos, gave them catchier titles and stuck an affiliate link. Averaged a sale per day. Then my competitor reported me for copyright infringement ..
YouTube is excellent for video marketing. You just need to know a few ethical tricks. But first you need to determine what your objective is? Are you trying to capture leads on a squeeze page? Are you trying to send traffic to a direct sell website? Are you promoting an affiliate program? Are you promoting a CPA program? Traffic for Adsense? Are you branding yourself or company? What kinds of viewers do you want? Who is your target viewer? What do you want to do with the YouTuber? Do you want them to just watch your videos? or go to your channel? or go to a website as soon as possible? Once you know your objective you can concentrate on methods for that particular area. You can get stupid amounts of free traffic from YouTube you just need to know how to get them to do what you want. The end result is that you CAN monitize the traffic in one way or another... I started to upload some salsa videos a year and a half without thinking that right now I'm doing some internet marketing. Just sort my videos by the most views; click in any video and you will see a link in the description. My highest views is half a million and others one by passing the rank of 100,000 views. Well, you do the math; I know this is not quality traffic but think again that I receive hundreds of hundreds of views from all my videos displaying the same link. I guess I'm lucky having started a long time ago in youtube and now I can take advantage of my popularity. Knowing that my videos are taken and linked to many sites and my link goes flying around them. My nickname is well known in any search engine just type "grimaldo21". I just want to get traffic to my site that all the matters. http://www.youtube.com/grimaldo21
Its works very well if you have a niche that people want to know more about such as instructional video for something, but if it is just a goofy comical type view for laughter video than I doubt it would bring any real traffic.
I just added video to our site, but am looking for interesting youtube content to promote...if anyone has some pm me and I can feature it in our player. If it is music or comedy related, that would be better.
