Youtube in SEO

    I used to hear about how people used to post comments on Youtube with their websites to get backlinks for SEO purposes. The one time I tried doing so it told me I couldn't post URLs.

    I was wondering if individuals still do this. If so, how to you go about it?

    Your links will not follow from YouTube, they have nofollow. Use them as a source for hosting, nothing more nothing less.

    I'm guessing he means time restriction on when you can edit a link in your description.

    I do not think youtube allowed do follow links it is only for getting traffic not for backlinks.

    I can confirm it, they do not...only featured YouTube Links get featured...but nothing leave YouTube with out Google Adsense or Partnerships.
