I remember seeing blogs and other sites directly embedding the youtube video into the content. I don't mean a link but the entire video is posted on the site. I guess that kind of a blog is called vblog or something...... Anyways, just wanted to know whether its legal to directly place the video in a site and view it from there?
Wanted to ask this question. How do you embed videos into wordpress? Is there a way without a plugin? TIA
Just copy the embed code from the you tube video onto the code part of the post in your wordpress blog. If you need to you can also change the height and width of the video so that you can fit lots of videos on the page instead of two videos taking up half the page. Hope that helps you
Check out my main page (You Tube Video on the left side bar), and then click the "Video Gallery" page on the menu bar. That is a plug in called Tube Press. There are many You Tube Plug ins for blogs...MANY! You can embed just by taking the code from the video, but the plug in is so much easier. You add videos into your favorites on your You Tube account, and they automatically appear where you have the plug in on your page. It's very convenient.
Ok, this is really bothering me. My friend just told me that if I do not link and write "video taken from youtube" or something similar, youtube is gonna sue me. I'am sure that I'am still right as youtube encourages posting their videos on other sites. So, just to clarify, can someone please view This and let me know whether putting the video like this is legal or not.
It would only ad illegal if you are embedding copyrighted videos that are being distributed illegally via Youtube (contributory infringement). I don't know if they require a source line since I think the Youtube logo is embedded into the videos. Read their ToS to make sure.
As was said, You Tube encourages you to use their video. You will not get into trouble. You don't have to write anything special. Just do not alter any video or attempt to remove the you tube logo. You tube is for the taking. Your husband is freaking you out for no reason. That is not true. It is really simple.
They actually gives the codes to be embedded for websites... So it's means it is a legal way of putting youtube videos in your site....
DMK you gotta relax. Your friend is obviously not well informed. To start off YouTube doesn't actually own any of the video. . . it's all user submitted. YouTube and gazillions of other video sites give you code to embed the player right in your site. That's the whole point. They don't require anything that says "taken from youtube" or "video from youtube" etc. Lastly look at sites like milkandcookies.com etc. These sites are all doing quite find and haven't been sued by YouTube. So relax . .. you are in the clear. Skinny
Yes, it is legal, YouTube even gives you the embed code! (Look to the right of a video) Hope I've helped.
