Hi, im fuser and im trying to embed a video in a post. The thing is that when i do and publish, the design crashes completely.. The video appears at the right bottom of the page, outside the post and the blog's design is also altered.. What can this be? How can i fix it and publish a video the same way i publish a picture? Thanks for the help, fuser
Edit your post, and remove the embeded video code - save the post.. Go back to youtube (or wherever) and REcopy the embed video code Go back and edit your post, but before you do anything, turn OFF the WYSIWIG editor by clicking the CODE tab.. While in CODE/HTML edit mode, paste your embed code back in. Did that help?
Hi, thanks a lot but i have tried that and it didnt work... Ive also change the size of the embeded video but that didnt worked as well.. Thanks again, fuser
I have this problem with my blog... Here is why When I cut and paste in the "code" section, and click publish right away, it works fine! But when I cut and paste and than write something... It does not work.... Just play around with it.... I write what I want to, then cut and paste... Something about "saving" ruins the code form...
That happens because of the WYSIWYG editor.. that's why i recommended doing the steps i posted above.. But if you ever go and edit that post, you have to re-paste the embed code.. But he says this is not the problem.
I didn't read your post! lol Honestly though... it makes posting so painful... If I post a video... I generally do not even include text, because it is hard to make pretty.
what i do is write the post, save it, look at it, look at it again, and make sure it's perfect.. then the last thing i do is post the video-code.. then i NEVER touch that post again..
Do you think that if i activate and desactivate the WYSIWYG editor it will work? Is there a plugin or something that helps us with this matter? Thanks, fuser
Try this. Instead of posting the whole code below; <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QuJUuQnSiHo&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QuJUuQnSiHo&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> Use only this; <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QuJUuQnSiHo&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed>
Same with me >) Happy Holidays BTW, YEA, OP , the wordpress strips some of the code Do what Randy Suggests
