I don't have any advice to offer unfortunately - the only way I can think of is using something like real player to download the videos off youtube one by one.

I am sure I don't need to tell you, but you should always backup !

Contact a lawyer to send a subopena to YouTube, which may help slow down the process. Get some coffee and stay up all night ripping your videos down.

you should ask youtube if they can provide you with a temporary ftp account and transfer all your files o a remote server. ;)

Wow man, that sucks in a real bad way. Sorry to hear that you're in a bit of a crunch. Definitely recommend downloading the videos, either with realplayer or a plugin/mod for your browser.

Tell them to give you some more time to download all your vids to your pc. I'm sure they will do something about it.

Why would or even why should they agree to more time?

The op violated the TOS so should consider him self lucky they gave him any time at all.

Its his fault if he does not have backups any damd fool should know you need to keep
backup copies in a safe place that is easily accessible.

Not sure why you don't have a local copy of your own videos in your PC or laptop. Did you delete them after uploading it to YouTube? It's hard to believe if you did that.

Get firefox and get a download plugin - and download all of your videos. Then reupload them to the new youtube channel.

If your the original publisher of the videos, you want to make sure you retain copies of the original un-edited videos. That way if anyone ever tries to claim your videos as their own, you have the original video files to prove they are yours.

1,200 of your own videos? What are they of?

That sounds like a pretty big operation to be relying on YouTube for.

And why wouldn't you have local copies of the videos?

Something tells me there is a lot more to this story....

why don't you try ustream. they won't delete any copyrighted channels without gives you 48 hours warning time to buckup your videos by downloading it .

for youtube, noway. you should already have kept copy of your videos on your local hard disk.
