YouTube.com code for Wordpress??

Whenever I insert the code from youtube.com to Wordpress 2 it destroys the format of the blog. Does anyone know how to properly insert video code for YouTube? I've see a plugin for this sort of thing but it apparently has the author's code at the bottom each time you use it. I'm not interested in that.

Hmm, the only problem I've had is that I needed to break up each argument in the code so it gets its own line, but I wasn't having the problem you describe.

Is the column your main content occupies wide enough?
Is any part of teh youtube code getting removed by textile, or whatever code validating plug you use?

I'm using the default template. I've seen that one used with youtube videos so I don't think the template is the issue.

Are you using the WYSIWYG editor or straight HTML?

I totally agree. I just fixed this problem with Adsense Deluxe. Its HTML code
capabilities make adding youtube code a snap.

I use the Flashifier to encapsulate the code. Install and activate the plugin, then in your post where you want the movie to appear:

    [flash]MOVIE_URL,MOVIE_WIDTH,MOVIE_HEIGHT[/flash]

You can't copy and paste YouTube's code directly into the template.
