Has anyone got this script to work without any ffmpeg errors? How did you do it? What hosts have ffmpeg pre-installed and allow video hosting sites in their TOS?
i have managed to install it on dreamhost. www.catmindeye.com/media/2006/07/installing_ffmpeg_on_dreamhost.html Code (markup):
Can anyone help me install these on a new dedicated server I got? FFmpeg (http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu) FFmpeg-PHP (http://ffmpeg-php.sourceforge.net) Mplayer + Mencoder (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html) flv2tool (http://inlet-media.de/flvtool2) Libogg + Libvorbis (http://www.xiph.org/downloads) LAME MP3 Encoder (http://lame.sourceforge.net) Thanks
your not going to find it on a shared server.ffmpeg is server intensive. its not going to be preinstalled on a dedicated server either.your going to do it yourself or pay someone.
If you are using Centos or Red Hat based you need to install rpmforge or DAG repository If you are using Debian you need the Debian-Multimedia repository.
