    Hi All,

I'm building now my new website that deals with youth sports equipment. The age group is 10-15 years old. I would like users to send me their testimonials and remarks about using this equipment.

Eventually i would like to publish every week on my home page a new boy/girl testimonial with their name and picture.

Can I do that ? I there any law in U.S that doesn't allow me to do so ?

Good advice will be most appreciated.
    :)

I think they must agree to it.

So your chances are slim, i doubt many people will agree to put their name and picture on ecommerce website, especially if they are young.

I think the law surrounding publishing pictures of minors is pretty tricky.

as far as I know, when the person is a minor you need written permission from their parents to publish pictures, and even then, I very much doubt that many parents would let you publish their children's name alongside a picture.

I have a teenage daughter and, to be honest, if you asked me if you could publish her name and picture, my response would be a flat no! That is nothing against you, your product or your service, I'm sure it's great. That is just me, as a parent, protecting my daughter.
