The forum looks great it has a nice theme, but I agree with webbmaster I think you should change the individual forum to their respective logo.
I like it. Here is an idea: once you get more members expand it by adding sections for individual sport stars. I think people would eat it up.
Looks great. Clean and simple. I just have some question. I guess you should be familiar with sports forum. Is sports forum like yours or other sports forum allow any signature like DP? Thinking about hanging around sports forum but if I can put some kind of signature that would be nice and worth the time.
I quite liked it, like the colour scheme and I think the site looks really good. Personally, I'm not too keen on the header, but thats just my opinion.

When my forums open I send a message to everyone to inform them. I have a bunch of paid advertising going on at sports forums too.
Not a bad looking website. It is a competitive niche though so it may take a very long time for you to build it up to where there's lot of activity.
And also, I will join your forum if you join mine. You can't really brag about your member #'s when you do things like that.
