What web hosting are you currently using?
What web hosting/domain package would you recommend for a starter to sort of "get my hands dirty" and check out how things work? I have no particular idea of content/purpose for a website in mind. :D

I would also recommend HostGator, been using them for over 4 years with very little problems.

Well I am willing to spend a few bucks to get the full effect and see the advantages instead of using free hosting. :p

I host most of my sites happily on a shared Lunarpages and Hostgator account.

www.liquidweb.com - absolutely awesome host. I switched to Liquid (from Hostgator - which is also good) like several years ago and can't but recommend them.

Check out www.webhostingtalk.com - they know everything about hosting

I'm using a dedicated server from serverpronto but I don't need it so I will be down grading soon and I will be going with Hostgator as they are a quality host and I can cut my hosting costs x10 with them to what I'm currently paying.

If your thinking of going with Hostgator check my sig!

I wouldn't use ANY host that offers unlimited features, simply because they're lying.
