Saw a commercial last night while I was doing keyword research. Decided to just throw it into Google Keyworld Tool to see. Was surprised at my findings. Exact phrase for this two word keyword generates a little under 50,000 global monthly searches. There's a little over 27,000 local monthly searches (I'm in Texas). The keyword has a little over 500,000 results in Google. The first result is Wikipedia, while the next two belong to a major corporation. The rest of the results on the first page, though, are from entertainment websites that don't focus on this particular niche. Your thoughts?
hi mysteryofmarketing, gullible is a dictionary word with meaning Easily deceived or duped. and when you are using it with "developer" , it becomes "gullible developer" which I believe is a unique keyword with ZERO searches shown by Google Keyword Tool. Are you sure about the keyword? I am looking forward to your reply.
if you done your research & you found a tough competition on that particular keyword & you found the numbers of global & local monthly searches.but i didn'y found that numbers could you explain it a little more!
With the help of keyword tool you can search for the keywords related to your topic. you will find all the related searches and from there you can select best suited one.
I would check backlinks to the sites on the first page. Use for example free SEO Spy Glass. Check how many links they have and the quality as well. If Wikipedia has #1 spot, it doesn't tell you if it is low competition keyword or not. Sometimes it's hard to outrank Wikipedia, however you may find it quite easy. Check the backlinks, SEO of the websites and if it's an every green niche, just go for it. It may take you more time to rank high, but 50,000 exact searchers might be worth it.
