The link at the bottom leads to mine (which I think is the best, but then I would!).

Unlike most of the others, this focusses on what I believe to be the most important factors of a successful campaign - the Quality Score, the Conversion Rate and turning the numbers into a profitable campaign...

I agree with you that QS is important. But on the bigger picture, we must find out what makes the person clicks on your ads rather than your competitor ads. Is it that your ads offers something that the person is looking for? This directly reflects the CTR, if it is high, say above 10%, means that your ads is highly relevant and google rewards you by lowering your cpc.

With this in mind, you just need to focus and tweak your landing page to convert the traffic into sales and add a opt-in box to capture leads.

Absolutely - every advert has three objectives, which often conflict with each other - QS, Conversion Rate and Clickthrough Rate.

Attracting visitors who are less likely to convert will improve your CTR and QS, but harm your Conversion Rate.

These additional visitors can still be profitable, which is why you have to consider the impact on all three things when making changes to your campaign. Of course, putting values to the impact of changes to your QS is almost impossible, but balancing CTR and Conversion Rate is certainly achievable.

    There's a post here discussing it: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=401157

I was simply defending myself against your previous statement:

"Well people get tricked and click his ad and then he gets money to spend on Adwords "

The eBook goes into pretty decent detail about how to setup an ad campaign, showing pictures of personal campaigns, the use of landing pages etc. I'm not saying it's the end all / be all, but it gave me a pretty good start in my adwords world :)
