New startup promises to send out takedown notices to anyone who pays a trivial fee. Should people be allowed to erase information in the public domain just because they feel like it? How many people fail to realize that comments made on a blog live forever?

I'm sure some will fall of it.

If any colorful information was placed on my sites and repdefend came knocking - I would simply ignore them... just to see if that $30/month (If we find an item of online content you don't like, we'll carry out our proprietary DESTROY process for you on that item for the one-time low fee of $29.95.) will be enough to get me in front of a judge.

    I'm betting it won't.
