I am basically making this thread for personal use. I did not want to make this thread generic and like so many other threads have been basically asking who should i host with, because everyone has answered that question thousands of times! I have looked at many of the hosting advertisements on these forums, and as there is so many to choose from i d rather go with the majority. So i am using this thread to see who is with who, i have a 20+ proxy network currently, and do not really plan on adding anymore as of yet, at the most there will be 25 websites running from there. Obviously many other factors count into how good a hosting service could handle my network, however with peoples advice and feedback as to who they are currently hosted with, i shall make the choice. Please can people list who they host with, how many sites are on their network and how much it costs per month. Thanks Will.
How much bw do you use for 50 proxies? And how much visitors has each proxy? I was thinking of a 100mbit unmetered dedicated server or vps. Maybe this is too much? BTW: Want to trade links with my 10 proxies?
I use thewird here on dp, their website is wdservers.com I found that they seem to work the best for my 50+ proxy network. I get over 700,000 pages views from the US alone per month and over 12,000 UV per day. I have them hosted on a dedicated quad core 2.4ghz dedicated server. $269 per month. I have tried several hosts and I can have more users for less money with thewird. I was hosted with servint.com and was spending $290 per month and severs were maxed. I switched to WDservers and the server could fininally handel it, so I started getting more users. My users and income jumped over night. My revenue went up $30 per day! So I am sold. I have tried others, but not good enough. I push over 85GB of bandwidth per day after my bandwidth mods. Hope this helps some. MAtt
