You own 3 concepts on the make money online / trading / online success niches (catchy domain names + ebooks) with various languages (not just English) So you can make money on your own + develop some kind of affiliate network According to you, what is the best solution? Go with clickbank or go on your own with an affiliate program software like Post Affiliate Pro (or another one)? Can you give an advice or better, share your experience? Thank you
Don't you think that clickbank's sales page looks cheap for customers? There are 2 objectives indeed : attract clients + attract affiliates
Wait aren't you selling your own product on clickbank? Is that what you meant? If so I'm pretty sure the look of the sales page is completely up to you.
so if you are selling a book, how does clickbank know if you get a sale in order to credit the affiliate?
I haven't sold anything with clickbank so i don't know for sure, but my guess would be that the sale would happen somehow through clickbank. As in clickbank would force you to make your 'buy it now' button link to a clickbank payment page and from there you'd get either all the money or it would be split up between you and the affiliate.
Clickbank is one of the biggest, I would trust them more than the other.. But we'll see This could be an awesome idea.
With clickbank they have some of the publishers already while going it alone means you have to advertise your affiliate program to get affiliates just like any other site.
My company, NovaWhite, has just switched over to ShareASale around 3 months ago and thus far it has been great. They take care of all payments to affiliates and host all banners for the program. Also, they make sure the affiliates are abiding by their terms of service and not spamming your site. Also many affiliates signup for your program just since you are a member of ShareASale they know they will be paid on time and the full amount. The one negative aspect I found is they cannot host the program on your domain to build up backlinks but on the other hand they take all the heat for the affiliates so it's kinda a trade off. We will use them for awhile and eventually make the switch to our own custom solution once we have more than 1 person working full time with our affiliates. Hope this helps! Regards,
on face of it, clickbank gives you a ready market of affiliates but it depends how string is the competition of yr niche in clickbank. Because these affiliate marketplaces like clickbank, cj have performance stats (like payout, conversion) that rank you with your competition and affiliates tend to pick sellers with best performance stats. If you new to the affiliate selling method and clickbank does not charge a fixed mthly fee, then it may be worth a shot to become a clickbank seller - to see what results you get for yr products against the competition and also learn. Once you are more confident, you can start your own affiliate program. Maybe you may end using both
