8 years after invading Afghanistan to achieve what ever the goal was.. Unites states policy makers are debating over their options..

some are in Favor of increasing troops..some are in favor of decreasing troops and increasing drone attacks, missile strikes etc..some are in favor of complete withdrawal..where as some are looking for reconciliation with Taliban and other groups fighting against occupation.

    Whats your opinion ?

    I don't think that's realistic.

    ---

It's time to get the hell out of Afghanistan. We should continue to seek out anyone connected to the 9/11 plot (particularly any higher level people) but not in such a heavy handed way as to attack an entire country and let this war drag on for years. I don't believe anything is being accomplished for US national security by this war (or certainly by the war in Iraq.)

I used to support the war and nearly everything my government did but after looking into the "devils eyes" and seeing what liers they are, and how bastardized they are, it made me question many things and look into things instead of believing everything at face value, I must say it is better to question everything than to just believe everything, quite often what they say and what they do are 2 different things entirely.

After reconsidering the wars that are currently ongoing, I would say that they were not noble wars they served no purpose IE the goals what the governments stated they wanted to achieve were not achieved and these goals were impossible to achieve, in the case of Iraq the goals were not even "real".

In fact it's quite the opposite, not only are they not achieving anything they are getting their ass'es kicked by these people many consider "rag heads", rag heads with primitive weapons are kicking their ass.

They are not going to be able to 'nation build' unless the inhabitants want nation building it's that simple, you can't bomb people into submission then expect then to accept your way of life.

The situation currently is that most top officials with brains know the wars are lost and they do want out, however they don't want the public to think the wars were in vain, so they are preparing the people for a victory that they manufacture, it'll be along the lines of; "we successfully handed over all areas to Afghan, Iraqi police and security services and we have done our job"

The fact is there will be no victory, the results of the war can be summed up as this:

    1) More Muslims are radicalized and some Muslims rightly so, IE those innocents bombed/killed who's family members are now pissed.

    2) Massive amounts of money wasted.

    3) Masses of troops killed for no reason.

There are many more factors however the 3 above are the most prominent.

I totally agree. We are just wasting time, money and most importantly, lives by remaining over there.

Time to Cut and Run! Can't we solve the problem by continuing to bomb these people from afar?

yaay.. Taliban are so scary with these beards.. please, US soldiers, bomb these savage boggy men from afar, you do not want to pick germs..

    ehmm.. lmao

well... that's what these pussies been doing, fighting, some boggy men armed with light to medium weapons, against jets, carriers, bombs, rockets, carpet bombing, FROM AFAR!! and that's why US soldiers are losing, maybe if they were men enough, they would fight from close, but that if they dare..

soon, US soldiers will be the joke of the whole world, indeed, the main problem for them now, is finding a good reason to run away, without appearing as the clowns they are,

with all respect and love .... from AFAR!

Well Good.....maybe everyone will stop running to us with their problems and take care of these things themselves. While we are at it, let's stop the humanitarian assistance we provide too.

This administration has difficulty shitting, and getting off the pot!

Its time to leave or do what the General has asked. That or we could jet set around the world and talk about hugging a tree or two.

Are you saying that the people of Iraq were not glad to get rid of Hussein? Though we have overstayed not only our welcome but our effectiveness there. As for Afghanistan, we are not the only forces there (do the initials UN mean anything?). Frankly, I would be happy if we never set foot, for ANY reason in the mid-east again.

The solution to all these problems is simple. Give Israel California. Let the rest of the bastards over there pound sand and suck oil until its gone, then let them pound more sand.

Sometimes I think you can learn a lot about the sociopolitical nature of various cultures by watching "Planet of the Apes".

"The Forbidden Zone was once a paradise. Your breed made a desert of it, ages ago." "Dr. Zaius

The same can be said of the middle east and what Islam has done to it.

    The parallels are simply amazing.

"Have you forgotten your scripture, the thirteenth scroll? "And Proteus brought the upright beast into the garden and chained him to a tree and the children did make sport of him."

    Need I go on?

OFC some people were happy that he was overthrown but they were not the majority and some who did want him out didn't necessarily want their country to be invaded for that to happen.

I think some people in just about any country would like to see their leader overthrown, when Bush was in office some obviously wanted the muppet out but would they have wanted Japan to do that? No.

I don't believe they were welcomed, who in their right mind would welcome "shock n awe"? that's just propaganda shown on TV IE Iraqis greeting them.

OFC I know what the UN is but the point I was making is that nobody asked for these invasions at all, that's why they are fighting back lol

We could change the discussion to Hitler and Germany, and that same statement would likely apply.

History seems to have shown us otherwise however. ;)

But we should stay on topic IE the failed wars in the ME, at least we did beat Germany.

Are you seriously comparing Hitler to Saddam though? lol

Another great difference is that Germany/Hitler was the aggressor waging war(s) for the sake of it kinda like... Well us;)

Saddam wasn't waging war on the USA. If anything we are acting like the Nazi's if the truth be known.

History has taught us very little...

Anyone can believe that we are welcomed there that's fine, the proof is clear every night that you see coffins on TV, that's how much we are welcomed there, and remember it's not the Iraqi government doing the killings (Hitler) it's the citizens.

I still don't understand why US took off Hussein of the power and Fidel Castro is still on the power.

Yes, i agree with you in that history repeat itself.

The afghan fighters has defeated UK and Russia and now US is getting defeated.

If you want to see how pussy are the US military and their alliance, then i recommend you to watch (Taliban Uprising) which is made by National Geographic:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-YbP_k_CHU

You can download the full movie from mininova.

After you watch the movie you will know why US is getting defeated with all its alliance and rabbits.

~ Obama needs an exit strategy than to be fooled any further by military advisor's seeking additional reinforcements for a cause they are directly responsible for losing - their foray into Iraq before securing the capture of Bin Laden and the Afghanistan territory justifies their removal from the services as the outcome of their actions were not only predictable but have come to fruition.
