I tried to search for this topic, but the search bar bans anything that's 3 characters.. but - what are your opinions about .tv domains? Are they worth going for? I've yet to see one used, or at least a popular site with this extension. They're twice as expensive to maintain...however, I stumbled upon 2 .tv's that are pretty decent.
I would not personally use them unless I found an expired keyword domain that would help to drive traffic. Such as pc.tv, computer.tv or some other big keyword term. I have seen some use them for video sites, such as markingvideo.tv (made up name). As you mentioned they are spendy.
