I know many people are leaving adwords for yahoo/msn and other places. I tried both but no quality traffic and cost is much higher. Anyone has any tips of where to advertise, is it specific to certain niches?
I've been doing PPC advertising close to 7 years and in my experience nothing compares to Adwords. There should be no reason to switch from adwords to yahoo/msn. Like you said the traffic levels and quality are poor and will not get better. You can get Yahoo to be 1/3 of your Adwords traffic at best. With MSN you'll be lucky to hit 10%. Forget about all the other 2nd tier PPC engines. The time and effort are not worth the marginal gains. I have had very positive results with Yahoo Search Submit (Previously known as Site Match Exchange. Basically Yahoo natural paid - weird I know, but you can pay to show up in organic search results) Hope this helps
