I had a quick look, and didn't quite get it. The name suggests local listings, but nothing obvious on the homepage to search by area. I think the front page needs a short introduction as to what the website is about

 

Yeah i agree with Abuntis, a logo and a short slogan under it would make it much friendly.

 

Needs an intro and some kind of graphic logo.

 

Definatliy needs a professional logo/header

Not quite sure about the domain name with local in it --- Are the listings localized or???

Maybeuse another script that will all the postings on a local level

repetition of the title image doesn't look good, rest of the design is good

 

one suggestion for seo purposes. Make sure you make direct access to index.php redirect to /

you just need a little htaccess for that.

 

Your header does not look professional I think it needs some work, and there
is too much negative space in the lower left hand side of the page.
