Your opinion: did I get booted out of Google or is this temporary?

Has something like this ever happened to someone else? And what does it mean? Am I out or there is a glitch? Im sorry if its obvious, I am still new at this Internet thing. :D

This morning, I checked the number of backlinks (site:mysite.com) and all was fine, in fact I had more indexed pages.

I just tried again, and got Your search - site:www.mysite.com - did not match any documents.

So I said to myself, "there you go, you got booted out".

But then I tried a search with "mysite.com" - Find web pages that contain the term "mysite.com" and I got this:

    "Results 1 - 10 of about 58,800 for "mysite.com". (0.07 seconds)"

None of those 58,800 results show up mind you, only the links I had started building in directories and press releases show.

According to site:mysite.com I did have that many pages indexed for the last few days. But they did get indexed mighty quickly, took one month to get to 58,800 and there was a huge jump from 19k to 58,8k, which makes me think google might have bumped me out.

But its still showing "Results 1 - 10 of about 58,800 for "mysite.com". (0.07 seconds)" which makes me hope not.

    Opinion?

Apologies, I meant "indexed pages" not backlinks

Google results are varying alot lately. When you see something like this happen it's best to wait a day or two and see if it will straighten itself out
