Also, "traffic" doesn't really mean that much, it's all about the type of traffic you get. You could do hit exchanges all day long, get 1000's of hits, and never have a single person actually look at your page. The key is getting targeted traffic to your site, providing them with unique content that will make them want to stay, as well as come back, and then like the pster before me said, you have to monetize it somehow.

 

Quality traffic over quantity any day

 

You can have the most awesome project on planet and still fail if you don't get enough traffic.

 

if your product or service isn't good enough, or is too expensive compared to your competitor, no matter how much traffic you bring, your online project will still fail.
