Jive Forums - only large enterprises can afford it but i love it. Its more feature rich, stable, secure, versatile than any other forum software out there. it costs 25k per year for the license!!

I mostly use vbulletin. Sometimes I my do a test board with phpBB if I'm not sure of the topic and how well it will go over.

i think if someone actually took the time, and it would take awhile, to troll through all the polls and threads about what is the best forum software, and tallied all the results, it boils down to this.

    for paid its vb
    for free its smf

    hands down. :D

Thanks all! I have some Forum site projects coming up, but have not tackled them before. This thread zeroed me in to SMF which I was unaware of!

Is the conversion over to Vb easy? I know vB has import tools and stuff, but just wondering, especially if you have installed a lot of mods etc.
