well... Let's put it this way: When I've manged to put together somewhere around a hundred more websites - provided they bring similar or more traffic... then I'l be able to quit my dayjob
a) not enough b) > $0 c) less than T0PS does d) all of the above Hint: it's the 4th letter in the alphabet...
So I suppose that all of you that use adsense threw yourselves into it with little or no idea of how much you would make. Still, it would have been interesting to know how much one could make but I don't want anyone to violate the terms. But why does Google not want people to talk about it? Does someone know for sure or have a good idea of the reasons?
Possibly to limit the amount of AdSense Spam sites from popping up. Sites built just for the purpose of having people click the ads.
I guess If the question is stupid then those who answered unpolitely are more stupid. C'mon if you cant answer fairly then you dont have to post
Not really. I believe you start doing it because you see that you can - and seeing that you can make a buck or two while you're at it. After that comes the craving for more traffic, just like an addict There, I said it. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I would point out: 1. I think part of what is meant by the "none of your business" comments is that it is generally considered socially boorish to ask anyone other than a partner or close friend or family member about how much money they make. 2. There is a possibility that disclosing such information about your AdSense program may violate the AdSense TOS:
okay I edited my question and wanna ask again : how much money you make with using internet + google adsense ? is this break the TOS ? thanks for all comments
That question, or any question written to find out what someone makes on as a Google AdSense publisher, is a violation of their TOS. If you don't agree, contact Google and see what they say... Minstrel is bang on. I think Shawn went as far as I would go to say it covers the cost of hosting.
I can give you two answers. 1) It's possible to make a living from it. 2) Our eCPM is $0.50 - $8.00 depending on the traffic and site. I believe this is probably what you really want to know. Google, feel free to close down our account if we broke the TOS. There are others asking for our business.
One is that Google is paying in time....but ...did I say I only use Google? No, I've started to remove some of the AdSense ads. Some of the reasons is discussed in another topic.
My question was more in jest than anythings else. We all use AdSense because it pays better than anyone else (affiliates not included).
It used to pay better than anything else for me. Revenue has been going down from them. This is not my opinion, it's a fact from our stats.
I dont think it is them paying less as much as people paying less for adwords specific to your site or the same people visiting your site over and over again clicking on the ads (not illegally, but just the same visitors). I have seen an increase in $$$ paid recently. I could see how certain words would head south though. Mesothelioma and others are probably paying quite a bit less now.
Yes, that's correct. Advertisers pay less to advertise on my sites through AdSense. I'm happy for you that you see an increase!
Without divulging any specifics, I can tell you that placement of the AdSense ads is the key factor in my experience. On several sites, all with very different subject matter, one constant has been that CTR and revenue have increased (in some cases very significantly) with one simple placement change. I might write a 1-page ebook and charge $97 to let the cat out of the bag. LOL Kidding. Why is it that ebooks always seem to sell for some dollar figure ending in "7"? Oh yeah... put your AdSense ads in the upper left where your main body of content text begins. If you have room, stick another block in a bit lower, for the scrollers to scuttle off from your site if they hang out long enough to get that far. Use either 250X250 or 300X250 blocks with transparent borders and "normal" (blue) link text. Count your money. The end. That'll be $97 (non-sequential US bills no larger than $10). Uncle Sam need never know. -John (probably not my real name)
Heehee, quite a funny post. Speaking of placing ads, I tried to place 2 blocks on a page, and it didn't work, only one showed up. Any ideas as to why? The site is just basic html, nothing fancy to interfere with it. Btw - I do agree that it is generally rude to ask others how much money they make. If a person wants to know if it can bring in a decent amount of money, then it should be asked in a broader sense. Just my two cents wendy
