Before we get too goofy, let us recall that--as Shawn and others have pointed out--the *amount* you make cannot reasonably be considered "confidential" inasmuch as, at the very least, your bank knows. But I'd still not push the envelope when Google is the postman, so to speak.
I am not surprised someone asks this question here and there, but I am surprised someone with "Your Adsense Money" link in the footer will do so. Out there on the web I have seen few people mentioned the amount they got, or an approximate amount they are getting. Such openness is scarce, though.
It would be nice with a little more friendly attitude around here. If someone don't like the discussion why not just ignore it? If someone think the question is "wrong" in some way why not just voice that opinion politely? The fact is you know very little about the one posting the question. Regarding the question, I would not disclose my own income on a board like this...but maybe in an anonymous poll.
Because there are people on the board that would post these details. Unles some people are reminded that you aren't allowed to do something, they could break the TOS. Sorry for the brash tone, I just think it's a stupid thing for someone that owns an adsense related site (I assume there was once a site there) to ask.
Sure, no problem. Maybe problem is we don't see the other person in his face. Communicating with text only can sometimes cause problems. Your point is correct.
I think a more reasonable question could be "How much do you make (ballpark) a month from all your revenue streams combined?" That way you are not singling out a particular program. I see people openly discuss this number a lot more...
a) not enough b) > $0 c) less than Shawn does d) all of the above Hint: it's the 4th letter in the alphabet... Silenced... How much do you make with AdSense?
