well i can start right away and i had stories that made it to first page in 30 minutes.but the average time to get there is 1-3 hours. but i believe in this method timing is very important. i rather to wait for the right time to post the story that you would get as soon as possible in the home page and stay there somehow that you would get mostly US traffic(if that matters to you).
