Like a traditional business, starting online business requires planning and goal setting. What is your goal as an affiliate marketer? What do you want to achieve and what are you doing to achieve it?
I've only been in the affiliate marketing game for less than a month and have already earned myself $120. So i guess my target would be to try and get around $100 per month at the moment. It's only something i'm doing on the side as i'm still at college
I am also in college, and when i started i was in college too. There was a week i made about $1500 from one merchant. Good money right? Well when you learn affiliate marketing well, perhaps you will make more than $10,000 a month. Good luck with school and affiliate marketing.
I'm also in the university now and i have grossed US$10,000 in just 3 months of working on my campaigns. Earning more then what most graduates are earning now. Screw studying and long life affiliate marketing!
i basically set a dollar amount for my goals. for example by end of 2008 - $10k per month by middle of 2009 - $15k per month etc.... i use to set goals for every three months but once my income starting getting large i do it semi-annually now
I made about $800 in January from one site, but had to sell the site to pay for damage to my house from a storm. I am working on a new site, and my goal is $2K a month in April. I then want to total $15K this year in total profit.
I'm just starting out with my affiliate program. CAn you guys share some tips on how can I get some money out of affiliate marketing?
You won't get anyone to tell you their secrets or their best affiliate programs. And don't waste your money on any ebooks or affiliate schemes. They won't get you any kind of advantage that 1,000's aren't already doing. Find a niche market that you know (or can learn). Search some keywords to see if there's demand in the market. If it's not already saturated, so sign up with cj.com or clickbank or linkshare or whoever you want to use. You can either drive traffic directly to those merchants with AdWords (if they permit it), or you can build a website that contains your landing pages that you direct traffic to. Don't just direct your traffic to your homepage. Design a page that is quick to read and gets people to act on your offer. This is where you want to send your AdWords traffic. If you want to go organic, write unique articles on your website that will eventually attract some SE traffic. This is the best kind because it's FREE! There's a thousand ways to promote your affiliate products. Just search around the forums or Google to get some good ideas. Just don't get caught up in "get rich quick" BS that's everywhere. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Don't expect to make a ton of money at this. It takes work and effort to make any kind of money at affiliate marketing. I personally go more for organic SEO, so my motto is "If I build it, they will come".. it just takes longer than PPC marketing!
This reply is for chancy Can you define modelling? I am not talking about walking on stage or print magazine modelling. If you goal is to make a new car, would it not make sense to buy somebody else's, pull it apart and improve on it to make your own? This method will not only be much faster but also much smarter, than starting from scratch. Many people walk through life desperately trying to come up with a brand new idea to make their millions. However, this almost never works. Making money is in the marketing not trying to think up a great idea. Good ideas are a dime a dozen, great ideas a dollar a dozen REALLY FANTASTIC IDEAS are ONLY A dollar each. Kaizen is japanese word which means never ending improvement. Take a look at a japanese car, they dont start from scratch, they just improve the last model Modelling is the key.....Do you know the meaning of copywritting?
If i can make 10K$ monthly i will be very happy. I'm really new in this, actually, i'm not started yet. I didn't know too much about this and i didn't know this forum. Now that i'm reading all your post i'd like to start in this business. Almost, i can say it's relatevely "easy" to take 12 hours dayly for this business... Do you think i can earn something if i work this amount of hours dayly??? Any suggestion to a newbie that even it's not registered in any affiliate program??? Thank you in advance! Reinaldo.
I'm also a university student. My ultimate goal is $10,000/month, but if I make $5,000 I'll be happy and satisfied with that
