I have to laugh about my first site it was **** It was a fan site I think but I knew nothing about websites so I guess it wasn't that horrible but it's still funny to look back on.
My first website was a forum based on an online MMORPG. I never expected it to become as big as it did - over 200,000 impressions per month! Unfortunately, the site that was hosting it died, and so did my website. =\
my first site was 15 years ago and was a free lycos domain page with some info about me and pics of cars
My first site was gamersfortress.net back in January 1, 2003. The forum had some great activity, but the host who also registered me a free domain took off with it. I think the guy's name was Bruce Winn... Anyways, learned a lot more about trust and web hosting than web development.
Always backup your site. I have CDs with old copies of some of my sites. These days they tend to evolve though rather than popping up a whole new site so I don't bother keeping hard copies. I just have a development copy of my existing sites. I used to have a GeoCities page. It was pretty rediculous. I don't even really remember what I had on it.
first website is pretty close to heart. i remember years back i made my first website, and even though it's not all that cool or profitable but i still like it very much.
My first site was online in 1999,i am very sorry i didnot renew it in 2002, or it would a authority site(at least in google's eye) .btw in 2000 i didnot know the SEO.
