    My first mobile or portable phone was in 1984......big old thing came in a case like a large brief case....didn't work very well ...limited range.
    Then I had a car phone installed....it worked better......

    I'm with this guy. My first mobile phone was also a Nokia 3310. No matter how much you threw it on the floor - it simply didn't want to get broken. You could shoot it with an AK - and it would still be alive. That's what I call a mobile phone.
