Your Favourite Method of getting backlinks ?

One of my favorites is posting to Craigslist. This will get you a good PR7 link. The only problem with CL is that they cycle ads, so you will have to repost frequently.

I stick to emailing webmaster and asking them to link to my site. I think its vital to build up relationships with other webmaster in your industry.

 

craiglist, ebay advising and listing, digg, other social bookmarkings and directories are good, but i am always looking for new and better ways.

 

if my site is new i try to submit the posts not the homepage to a lot of social bookmarking sites and submit to new directories announce here on dp

 

a lot...but social bookmarking sites is a great help for traffic and some of it are consider as IBLs...

 

I enjoy Active Rain. The people are sweet there. I also submit to real estate directories and Blog my butt off.

And, I am a pretty girl, but what do you think this is...MySpace? pwffff

 

as of today too many sites are dugg every minute, so being on top page is very hard

Find similar sites within your niche, and contact the owners by email for a link exchange. Never send out mass email, you must personalize each message you send.

Some say their success rate with this method is less than 25%, but it doesn't hurt to try. Also make your that your site has plenty of content and has been around for a while before requesting a link.

 

the best way is analyzing what your top-ranked competitors are doing, and then doing what they did to get links, but better. That's the whole "secret" to promo any site, in any niche.

Build relationships with other webmasters because a loyal reader is worth a lot more than a user that comes from a forum or something similar.

Blog comments are my personal favorite.

 

I've set up one of my pages with a direct link exchange request. It's worked to get me five or six exchanges so far, and then it saves me the time of emailing and asking for an exchange.

I have also used Vadmark to buy links. Lots of decent sites on there (article directories, tutorial websites, etc) that get lots of hits who are willing to sell textlinks for $5/month. I get a decent number of clickthroughs through those kinds of things

 

Posting on DP gets lots of Backlinks!

 

Create an affiliate program. You will get people linking back to you as well as people promoting your product. Win/Win situation.
