Is anybody here into rock? If so, who's your favorite? Its a pretty hard question for all the headbangers out there. The 80's was the perfect time for Rock n Roll and I believe it was the era in when Rock really flourished.. GnR, ACDC, Deep Purple and many many others are still considered the pioneers of rock. But if I was to pick one, it would probaby be Nirvana. They've got no match. Never Mind was such an amazing work. I totally loved it. But towards the end, Kurt started losing it In Utero was really lacking the passion of Nirvana. What do u say?
one of my favourites is April Wine (Canada). www.aprilwine.ca - official site www.aprilwineconcert.com - a community site we built when they played here last summer.
Exactly. Hardly anybody besides Kurt had that passion in him. Anyway, nowadays, Linkin Park n MCR are my favorites.
I've grown up on GNR, Metallilca, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Sepultura... Nowdays I prefer listening to Pearl Jam, REM, a little bit more melodic stuff But I will surely visit Iron Maiden concert in the following Summer...
The concert is on August 10th and lots of tickets are already sold. This is the first time I am able to see really good show only 120 kilometers from my town. It will be held on really acoustic football stadium. 50000 people will be there... I've been to Maiden concert a few years ago and it was really worth every penny! I really can't wait...
Lol! Man I'm in Pakistan. The best we got was Bryan Adams a couple of years ago. And I couldn't even make it there coz it was too far from my town. Anyway, Pakistani Rock bands here are really kicking it now too. In fact, a lot of Pakistani music is exported especially to India. So there's no lack of headbaging fuel here either. Anyway, I hope I make it to some concert in US once in a lifetime at least.
I tripped on acid at 3 Pink Floyd concerts. At one there were these people dressed up like Wizard of Oz characters actually holding hands, skipping, and singing, "We're off to see the Wizard". I miss LSD. Oh yeah and the concerts kicked ass.
I am in Croatia It was something like Pakistan now until the end of 90's... Fortunately it's far better now...
Have you been on Stones concert last summer in Belgrade? Lots of my friends went to Budva and told me it's been terrific... I've watched Stones in '98 in Zagreb and it was excellent...
