    For notebooks, I like HP. We have two in our house; one that's almost five years old and one that's just two years old now.

    I like that the OS that comes with them is not loaded with a bunch of crapware (remember when every laptop and PC came with AOL spam loaded with the installation disks?).

    I like that when I do reinstall, the HP website can detect the model of my laptop and send me right to the download page for that model so I can get the latest firmware, etc.

    I like that I have a five-year-old laptop that still works as good as the day I got it, despite being dropped and banged around over the years.
