Your Family and Friends

How do you handle the situation when your family and friends ask you how you make money online? Do you explain It detail by detail about YPN, or do say something else?

 

I give very general answers...I publish ads for an internet advertisor.

 

I dont say much. Like to keep it secret because people tend to get wierd when they know to much.

 

Just keep it general, speak in terms of selling ad space. That is pretty 'real life' so it's easier to comprehend.

 

I talk to them like they are a 3 year old. I try to keep it really simple. When they ask me more questions then I go into detail. I haven't found one person yet who isn't amazed by what I do and how I came about doing it, ohh and how much I make of course. I never knew being a nerd would pay off.

 

My parents don't understand what internet business is, because they can't really see it

So I basically say

1. I make website
2. put ads
3. people click on ads
4. I make money

heheh soo simple


I just bullshit on amount I make to around 1k to be safe otherwise, they'll try to take money hehehehe <--- not sure on this one.. Uncle sam is enough for me

When I talk to my friends, they are amazed (I still bullshit numbers), because they know the internet

 

hmm, seeing as I only make around $100 or so per month, nobody seems to really care...

 

yeah i say i put ads and they pay for it they all say we want to make sites too...

 

I say I work with online advertising (YPN+Other Ad networks) and online real estate (domains).

 

They know I make money on the internet and I just have to say it's advertising and they pretty much understand.
