I was told a well-written E-Book could make a few thousand easily. But, I constantly see E-Books being stolen, sold without proper rights, and so on. Which I would think would really cut into profits. Anyone have any experiences to share about selling these?
I think "easily" isn't the best way to put it. Like any other type of work, you have to put effort into the creation and promotion. That's not "easy" for most people. Yes, they'll be stolen at times. That's why you'll also have to spend time monitoring for copyright and term violations, and then pursuing them if you plan to stop them.
If you find a niche that is not well covered you could be onto a winner! I know some people that find ebooks addictive. I prefer real books though
Did this person actually make thousands with their own e-book or are they one of the countless people here and elsewhere that just talk up what others are doing with no real experience of their own? What's easy for one person might be hard for another. Yes, it can be done. And it doesn't take a miracle. But, that's me speaking based on my experience and whatever. Maybe for you or someone else it's harder or even easier. I think you'll find that most of the people that talk about making money with their e-books fall into the "make money" category. And no, you don't need to be special, intelligent or have a twist to pound out some dollars in this area. Want an e-book, membership site or other winner that will make money? It's so damn easy. And here it is: solve a problem.
