What do you use for development environment ?

For me, the out of the boxscript editing with text editor is over, and I need new tools to develop my sites.

I recently have discovered Eclipse and Komodo, both very big and extremely powerful tools for php and html, great perspectives althoug eclipse is sometimes very slow to operate.

May I ask you what is your favorite developing tool ? and your experience with it ?

    thanks.

My company uses FreeBSD exclusively but for one Linux box with CentOS. Editing is done using vi/vim though one of us uses emacs. We've done that for eight years and have no need for anything else.

Edit Plus. I use FirePHP for debugging. That's about it for web development. (For desktop, it depends on the language.) But I've been cutting code in a text editor (or on a legal pad back when we carved programs out of stone with wooden chisels) to worry about having the editor write or debug code for me.
