It depends where you are, I mean if you're in some dark dingy alley way, well anythings bound to happen. And that could be in any country.,
I agree with you.. It depends on the locations. Even if at 4 or 5 or 6am & you are in crowded area... then you're safe there.
Unless of course that crowded area of people is a gang that has guns and knives and there all fruit cakes
Yes, it isnt just about what country you live in. There are palces here in the US where people can leave their doors unlocked and their belongings on the porch without worry. There are also places where you better keep your car doors locked when driving down the road.
I have been there. I actually spent quite a lot of time working at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden a few years ago. It was very surreal, you are inside the garden and everything is really nice and all the people are friendly, but step outside the gates and there are taped up or boarded over windows on buildings and cars, graffiti all over the place (Which I actually thought looked kinda cool) and there are nearly always police sirens going off.

Guliani really cleaned up Times Square. It was really a big hole back in the 80s. The whole area is really safe and a great tourist attraction 24/7 though it's still a little seedy behing Port Authority Bus Terminal.
i must say people who kills or rob are in any part of the world because it's their means of survival..
Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico. There's neiborhoods that I would rather not walk through at night, but for the most part I feel safe here. Course, I'm 6'2 and about 230 LBS. It does make a difference. There's also exceptions, I have a friend who was shot at while standing at a bus stop. Feeling safe and being safe aren't always the same.
my state is also too safe except i cant hangout at night because of my wife who will make my life hell if i come home late...
Mumbai, India I can say is safe for Guys and Girls anytime. Not safe if you are drunk though....the Police is patrolling all night and you might end up in jail for drinking and driving. Not sure about other places in India. I have been to Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and some other cities and people don't hang around as they do in Mumbai. Its difficult to get booze and food after 12 AM at such places.
Depends On City .... Like if u take Mumbai In India its the city which never sleep 24/7/365 days Bollywood parties , Edm Parties Going on , girl and everyone can have fun for whole night but taking Delhi...the capital of India is not safe ,bikers create big problem in Delhi . after 11,12 they just come out with bikes and start doing stunts and they are fully drunked so its not safe in Delhi to go out after 12 for girls at all
It's hard to tell, because the thieves and killers is all around the world... SOmetimes, even the place you thought is safe might turn into a crime scene...
