Send the ones on sports to me, I love writing about that subject ^^. What kind of stuff do they ask you to write about sex? Erotic literature, lesbian dramas, sex site press releases, porn star gossip?

    1. Publish my manuscript,
    2. Do some web videos for content,
    3. Write up an online class,
    4. Expand my markets,
    5. Work on my craft to make it more precise,
    6. Learn how to write from anywhere with a laptop,
    7. Buy someone else's blog (maybe),
    8. Break into magazine article writing,
    9. Set up more profiles,
    10. Cultivate more clients.

Oh, I thought of some more...

    11. Sign up for more writer's marketing places,
    12. Contribute more to writer's online forums like digitalpoint,
    13. Write a quality Master's thesis,
    14. Make enough money to hire a personal assistant.

Incorporate both, and write about how Britany's meltdown was like a tantrum thrown by a preschooler! :D

And Tudi, I will send you the sports clients - PM me your info. And...you don't wanna know what types of adult topics I've been asked to write. It's nuts what some people want, lol! :)

Count me in on that goal :)

    My goals are:

    1) Raise my rates to 2-3 cents a word in the beginning
    2) Find good long term clients that can provide me as much work as I can handle
    3) Get a website up and running showcasing my talents
    4) I've always wanted to do a personal blog but it's just finding the time to do so
    5) I want to make enough money to pay the bills soley from this income.

I think thats about it, plan of action is to start a new thread in dp stating the rise to 2 cents a word (then try to gradually build that up)

    Yeah, men are pigs :D

I was just kidding with the sports clients, I don't want to ninja them off you and I'm not taking any new clients atm. But thanks a lot for being so nice!

We know, we know godofwriting. I'm recruiting my @$$ off to get male company for you here on DP.

And if any of you get requests for college basketball writing, I'm the one. It's the only thing I watch on TV. Once March Madness ends, I don't turn on the TV until the first college basketball Thanksgiving Tournament.

The words "male company" may be a little misleading, don't you think?

    Better late than never!

Work less, make more - My rates are already at a very respectable level, so I just need to focus on the projects that make the most per hour.

Let go of projects (and clients) I don't enjoy - I'm a part-time copywriter and as I'll be back in the classroom in another six months, there is no need to keep clients who irritate me or devote my valuable evening time to annoying projects. (Is it me or do annoying projects seem to pay less anyway?)

Maintain and cultivate long-term clients - I'm fortunate to have a lot of long-term clients and regular work. I want to keep those guys around, maybe find a few more and then simply maintain those relationships overtime while rustling up a new client every now and again when I find one I like. LOL

Continue focus on my content site - I'm the content manager for a large site that is very much in the works. It's going to be another year or so of development before that puppy pays off in a big way. But at least it's my own project (I share it with a trusted partner.)

Play around with an ebook idea I have and see if this squeeze page nonsense is worthwhile :) j/k - I know it is, but I have yet to actually make my own despite being married to the king of PPC spending (and earning.)

Hmmm...I think that's it on the copywriting goals. I have another list for Parenting Goals and still one more for Teaching Goals. Go figure... :)

I mean manly men sort of company with testosterone leaking out of their ears! Ones that talk manly man things like babes, football. Ones that smoke cigars and play poker. Manly men like you Godofwriting. I did not mean to imply anything but male comrades or buddies. Promise. I just think it's funny that you feel so out of place. I SWEAR I'm usually the only female in most business situations. Not true here, obviously.

Oh, ok... you mean manly men like me that make sperm banks look impotent? Got it. I'm glad you're so totally in awe of my virility. :D

Sorry folks, I just couldn't stop myself (with the reply, I mean)... so ok, I won't hijack this thread anymore (can't afford to get banned again)

Just an update, I can cross number 1 off of my list :) I raised the bar this morning here in DP, one person so far has asked for work so fingers crossed this will be a long term proposal.

Thanks for all the help given from this section of the forum, it's priceless. Oh and especially CoolCopy who gave me some great advice and helped me jump a few notches on the "cents per word" bed post

For 2008 I want to build at least five monetized content sites of my own and write for them on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. I would like to have each bringing in a steady $200 in passive income by the end of the year.
I also want to launch and continue to build a service side to help students both as an in class and distance learning application.
I am in the final stages of launching a freelance media group which develops web and graphic materials for clients.

All in all my goals for 2008 are to work more at focusing my time and energy on projects that I want to work on rather than seeking out and begging for work on the dozens of sites out there.
