    Well usualy your own HTML brings in the most valuable serps. Keep in mind this is only used for small, rarely updated sites.
    If your building something rather big i recommend Joomla, for something rather middle big wordpress is a good choice.

    Twan, i believe it is depend on web traffic, contents and how much effort that you contribute for the sites. Joomla is a well known content management system ( a lot of modules ) and wordpress is a superb blog system. Both of them are good.
