I see everyone constantly stating they are making $300+ from CJ and I know that nobody wants to expose their idea, but I was just wondering, how exactly are some people making money from CJ? Like, what is the common method of money making from CommissionJunction? Do you purchase domains and place a placeholder page promoting a service and then making for the link to be sent to your affiliate link? How exactly do you do it or what is the most common way of making money besides BUM marketing. I've tried blogging right now but its not working, and even though its only been open for a couple of weeks. I want to open a few more sites so I can get more affiliate link exposure, but I need ideas for a new site though.
A few below, 1. Mini Site that sells around 3-4 products you are marketing, SEo or PPC your traffic in. 2. Email Marketing (errr. spamming) your subscribers list with recommended affiliate products. 3. Recommending products on your popular blog to your adoring fans. 4. Sig links or spam links in popular forums 5. Make a mall....filled with your aff links and buy or SEO traffic. Obviously I do not recommend or endorse some of the above methods, just ways...
Patience is the key in this money making game. It's ok if you don't make anything first few months but you do gain experience and know what to expect.
There's no secret really. It's just finding the right way to make money. Some use PPC, other organic traffic. PPC is the fastest way to make money, but it could cost you some $$$ before you find one that converts. But once you do, it will all be easy. So if you want to make money fast go for this. As for me I am making money with organic traffic. My site gets some good serp ranking with a small traffic keywords. Around 500/uv per day. Now I am making $200/day from it. I am not spending any money because it's free. This method might take some time but it's all worth it. I suggest you go both ways. Learn PPC and also develop some site for organic traffic. Sites receiving organic traffic will soon make more money than PPC.
Agree with Marieg, I like to: 1. Get something set up quick 2. Use PPC to test the water. 3. Further Develop Site and SEO if there is a market. 4. Use less and less PPC as the organics kicks in.
I build real sites, and use organic SEO traffic. It's free, and it's quality You mean per day, week, month, or year?
hmm my best strategy for cj is not to use cj - tried for a long time but never had any luck with them
^^ I prefer CJ... Azoogle is kind of a pain with the whole "Mail in your W-9" --- I don't have time for that so yeah. I prefer CJ myself, I haven't joined any other networks except ShareASale.com (which I prefer next to CJ)
As others have mentioned there are many different ways of promoting CJ products/websites. I would recommend starting a niche website that promotes some products/websites. Or just one, depending on the area. It's important to have unique original content on this website. Don't just copy/paste from other sites that will not bring you long term success (or much in the short term either.) Once you create a website then you need traffic. There are two major ways you can bring traffic to your website: SEO & PPC. I personally prefer using SEO strategies because I like the long term approach. With PPC you are constantly spending to make your money back and it can be quite difficult to break even when you are first starting. Using AdWords effectively is a science in and of itself. Once you start getting traffic you can start tweaking your website to try and get more sales. You may want to combine AdSense with CJ so you have two income streams. There's conflicting theories on this. Some say that AdSense is just a diversion from your ultimate goal which is making the sale, but I feel that not everyone is going to want to buy whatever I'm selling and the AdSense is a way to get some money out of those people too. The big thing to realize is that most of the people who have big affiliate success worked really hard at it. This is not easy.
I just started this. I am using the blog about a product approach. I know I can't offer very good advice on this topic because of the lack of experience, but if their is anything that I could offer, it would be to use SEO. You can use PPC too, but your long term effects will be from having good SEO. Also, don't get frustrated the first few months. If you are getting the results, or traffic that you are expecting, tweak your keywords, and try to target different or more specific ones. Getting that perfect, or at least to the point you are satisfied with will take a long time!
No It's not from Ebay. I wish I could join ebay but I'm not from the US and they're not accepting my request to join their program.
Well, if you don't even have time to fill out a simple W-9 you really aren't going to like affiliate marketing... you are going to have to invest a lot of your time learning different skills to succeed (PPC, marketing, writing content, building landing pgs/sites, etc) Plus, all affiliate companies are required by law to mail in your earnings to the gov... so you'll have to send in that W9 no matter what.
