AdWords and kanoodle (cheap PPC) I pay .05 at Kanoodle vs over .50 at Google. I got good results with enhance, but they screwed up my account and I'm not happy with them.

Ok, I will be different as Adwords is the obvious one. I often pay for traffic as a tester before I spend my time with free advertising. I can see if there's a market for my product. Here are my results:

MySpace Bulletins - Only good if you have the right product for it. As MySpace mainly attracts younger people a lot of products just don't cut it.

Email (Paid to Read Sites) - I was quietly impressed with this. I have used Archerfish (UK only) and Cash Delight and for the small amoutn paid I got a lot of hits and plenty of sign ups. The product was only for a selected niche too. Will use again but for a more general product that more people may be interested in.

I have also used Miva and Yahoo which got many hits to the websites but did not make me much money.

I am looking to advertise in ezines later but want to search thoroughly as these are more expensive, although I have heard a good ezine can bring you great results.

    Hope this helps.
